Distribution Lists

  • Before you begin, if you do not know the office ID's for your distribution list, look them up by logging into REXplorer 1, click Membership, Office search, Office search then enter the city. Print the list of the member offices. These are the broker codes you will be using to create the list.
  • Go to the Main Menu and click E-Mail.
  • Click Dist list near the top of the window.
  • In the Distribution List Types area, choose the type of distribution list you want to create. The type you choose will determine who can be added to the list. For example, you can only add offices (not individual agents) to office distribution lists. It is recommended that you choose Office as this will broadcast your message to more members.
  • Click New dist list.
  • In the Distribution List Name box, give the distribution list a name that is no more than 10 letters and does not include any symbols, punctuation or spaces.
  • In the column on the left, enter the ID's for the offices you want to add to the list.
  • If you need more ID fields, click Add Slots. The slots are added at the end of the column.
  • Do not add more than 25 offices to each distribution list.
  • To check your ID's for errors, click Verify.
    If an ID has an error, a message appears in the Description column next to the ID field. You must correct all errors before the distribution list can be saved.
  • To save the distribution list, click Save & Verify.
  • Once the distribution list has been saved, the name will appear in the list of choices.
  • To use the list, go to email, then click New. In the To box, enter the distribution list name, type in the mail message and click Save and Send. This will broadcast your mail message to all individual agents on the rosters of the companies on the list.
